Your local needlework store may be able to order the materials you are
looking for to do Schwalm embroidery. If not, you can visit the stores
listed below.
Coton a Broder in sizes above #16 are very difficult to find in the U.S.A.
I will post sites as I find them. Be aware that in the U.S.A., this thread
is also called Broder Special or DMC Brilliant Cutwork and Embroidery

Accomplishments specializes in high quality,
hard to find supplies for all types of hand embroidery, including counted
thread, needlepoint, white work, crewel, and goldwork. They also sell
needlework books including some of the items in the
Schwalm bibliography.
They do carry linen suitable for Schwalm embroidery; however, they no longer
carry the Coton a Broder in sizes above #16 (as of 11 Feb 2003).
